Dr. Ladd Atkins, D.O. is the bariatric surgeon who performs the Lap-Band® surgery. Dr. Atkins is a board certified surgeon trained in advanced laparoscopic and trauma surgery and has performed more than 100 surgeries. Dr. Atkins graduated from Oklahoma State College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa in 2002 and completed his general surgery internship at Tulsa Regional Medical Center, which is now the OSU Medical Center, in the summer of 2003. Dr. Atkins also completed 18 months of general surgery training including pediatric and trauma surgery at the Medical Center of Independence Missouri before completing his general surgery training at OSU Medical Center.
